What is Animal Chiropractic?
Animal Chiropractic is the treatment of animals with chiropractic techniques. The word chiropractic means ‘done by hand’ and is a drug free non invasive treatment method.
What will your Animal Chiropractor do?
For an animal chiropractor to treat an animal they must be referred by their primary care treating veterinarian. Once this has been achieved your animal chiropractor will arrange a mutually convenient time to come and visit your animal. On arrival a detailed case history of your animal’s complaint will be taken. This will help to highlight the problem area(s) and enable a thorough examination to ensue. The examination will involve postural and gait analysis, palpation and finally, if indicated treatment.
Treatment involves chiropractic adjustments to the spine, pelvis and extremities to restore their natural movement and function therefore helping to reduce pain, muscle spasm and enable the animal to perform to their optimum potential. The owners consent will be required prior to any treatment and should your animal chiropractor feel that your animal would be better suited to veterinary care this will be advised.
Is Animal Chiropractic treatment safe?
Animal Chiropractic has an excellent safety record and is one of the safest forms of treatment. Animal Chiropractic is a non invasive and drug free approach to health care. Every case is unique and your animal’s treatment will be planned according to his or her individual needs and medical history and your animal will have been referred by your primary care veterinarian. Sarah has really helped my competition horse compete at his best. It is amazing how much improvement in performance can be gained with chiropractic treatment, even if there are no obvious symptoms of any problem.Lisa Thomas
My friend recommended I get Sarah out to treat my twenty year old riding horse who was suffering from a lot a general stiffness. After just one session he was like a new horse and much happier in himself too.Sian Jones
I found Sarah to be a very dedicated ‘hands on’ animal chiropractor when she was treating my old dog, a terrier cross by the name Lucky. You don’t get many people crawling after a dog that has disappeared under the nearest table on the first visit! You allowed an old dog a better quality of life.Keith Mantle
We called Sarah out to our staffy bitch as a last resort. The vet could do no more for her and she was in terrible pain and wasting away. Sarah came the next day, travelling a long way to see her. Sarah was honest with us about her prognosis but we agreed to give the treatment a try. After just one session our dog was able to get up and move around by herself unaided.Karen Hopkins
